Confused about NFL jersey colors?

Home jersey's are the full colored jersey's....so for your example...pittsburgh, who is my team by the way..good choice, they're home uniforms are Black, and then away uniforms are the white colored jersey's. each team has an alternate uniform they can wear for 2 games out of the year....pittsburgh's are the uniforms that are black with full yellow stripes, white pants and yellow helmet. Some teams like the redskins, cowboys, etc wear their white uniforms even on home games which is why you will see some teams wearing their home uni's on the road.
